Children's Ministry Specialist
 
 

At least 50% of Uganda’s population is under 15-years.  In our many ministry opportunities, we often encounter special ministries to children that need specialist advice and attention.  For this reason, we are looking for a field specialist in Children’s Ministry.  

 

Basic requirements

 

  • Background in either child social work or children’s education
  •  
    Familiarity with international human rights of children
  • Specialist in ages ranging between 6-15 years 
  • Highly motivated individual
  • Ability to dialogue with indigenous partners and negotiate complete solutions

 

Other Matters

 

  1. Minimum commitment of two years

  2. Some professional experience prior to coming to the field.
  3. The partner of a married person would be offered service opportunities with MV in Uganda

 

Opportunities

 

The right candidate would develop relationship and ministry opportunities towards children with existing indigenous partners.  Not neglecting these, the right candidate would also explore and develop new contacts and opportunities.  There are endless opportunities for the right person:

 

  • Church childrens workers need skills and empowerment
  •  
    Junior Church curriculae could to be developed and communicated
  • Village schools started by pastors with a burden for the rural poor need assistance
  • Development of social working skills among pastors, childrens workers
  • The international rights of children and their protection need to be communicated
