Nigel & Kathy Harding
Nigel and Kathy Harding, along with their daughter, Abigail, left London, England in February 2002 to become
field coordinators for Missionary Ventures in Uganda.
Emmanuel, is their adopted son, since his first birthday, and has become very much part of their family. He was abandoned in the rain at ten-days-old and definitely has a story to tell of God being with him.
Nigel is a graduate of the
London School of Theology and has an MA in African Studies from the
School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. He had several years of ministry experience prior to Uganda, including six years as youth pastor and associate pastor respectively. He also had a secular job as a finance administrator for the national marketing department of accountants Deloitte.
Kathy has many years experience as a care-giver for the elderly, people with physical and learning disabilities as well as homeless people. She has a concern for people at their natural level and is developing a
child sponsorship program to help selected orphans in Uganda.
Nigel's greatest desire is to communicate the Word of God through teaching and preaching, with a priority to build strong relationships with indigenous leaders in helping them reach their goals. In addtion to building indigenous partnerships in Uganda and overseeing the work of MV in Uganda as a whole, his other responsibility since August 2010 is to be the Regional Director of activities in Sub-Saharan Africa, on behalf of the President of Missionary Ventures International, Glen Dubois.
