Mad Woman of Kajaho
"It's hard to believe she is the same woman"
While waiting for the crusade, we saw four strong men carrying a woman down from the hills behind our campsite to the market place where the crusade would shortly begin. She was wrapped in a blanket and they were really struggling as she was violently fighting them.
Once at the crusade we realized what was up........she was mad.....insane.....and violent in her reactions to people. Very strong when those demons manifested. While I preached the Word, she began attacking people where she sat on the ground behind the platform that had been built. As I preached, I was aware of the commotion, but didn't know what was happening.
Not only did many, many come for salvation at the end of the message, but afterward, I heard the story of this "Mad Woman of Kajaho". The SHORT version: her husband had taken her everywhere for help...medical doctors, witchdoctors, etc. So, we were his last hope. We were also definitely his last resort, since he was a fundamentalist Muslim.
Her foot was swollen way out of proportion from a serious infection and she could NOT walk at all. Plus she was violently crazy.
That night she was delivered and set totally at peace with a smile on her face by that radiated Jesus! Wow! It's hard to believe she is the same woman. When Pastor Silas went to her to begin to pray for her. She lashed out at him with her stick and really beat him up seriously. She threw rocks and lashed out. But now, as Pastor Silas puts it, we are friends. Only God, eh!
This "mad woman's" husband was a "Tabliq Muslim"...a radical fundamentalist sect. When he saw how God delivered his wife & mother of their 3 children....he flung his life upon the Lord....got gloriously saved and changed his name to Emmanuel.....immediately began going door-to-door to all of the other Muslims in the village telling them that he was now a believer in Jesus Christ and testifying as to what happened to his wife...and himself!

That lady testified the next night on the platform to her deliverance, salvation and healing at the the crusade. She ended up breaking into a praise song and dancing, jumping and stomping. It was really amazing! The crowd went wild with excitement and Kajaho saw Jesus differently from that night on.
Patsy Hall has visited Uganda many times but never ceases to be amazed at God's grace and powerful presence in her mission trips.
