Bishop George Omara
and Pentecostal Assemblies of God
Ever since
Nigel Harding entered Uganda, he carried a burden to reach the
Karimajong people of north-eastern Uganda. It was only in 2009 that God opened a door through a CMA motorcycle application by Bishop George. A trusted partnership has developed since then, with several motorcycles now installed with area pastors of PAG in the Karamoja region.
The relationship has been endorsed by
Pentecostal Assemblies of God. Nigel has shared ministry in the Word to the pastors in Karamoja alongside PAG's General Secretary, Bejamin Okwire (pictured left, alongside Bishop George on the right).
PAG is absolutely committed to evangelism and church planting among the unreached areas of the region.
The greatest challenge is to send evangelists sufficiently sensative to the extremes of a pastoralist way of life; stepping out of the trading centre and stepping into their sandles; sitting with the warriors, women and old men in the manyatas (fenced villages) and engaging them with the Gospel. These are the least reached people of Uganda and far from easy to convince.
